Congratulations to the members of the AIB Taekwon-do School who took part in a recent grading under Ms. Valerie Keane 6th Degree & Ms Debra Manning 4th Degree from St. Marks Taekwon-do School. 4 members from AIB Taekwon-do School were promoted.
This marked a special occasion for one particular member Nicolas Gellon, who received an award for his performance at his first grading.
St. Marks Taekwon-Do School will be hosting the annual RITA “ITF Senior Masters Pattern & Power Seminar” conducted by Senior Master Howard and Senior Master Phelan 8th Degree ITF Senior Masters.
The event will take place from 10:30 - 4:00pm in St. Marks, Tallaght, Dublin 24 on Sunday 23rd May 2010. All registered RITA members from 10th kup (Junior & Senior) are able to attend. The Seminar is an excellent opportunity to train with Ireland’s three senior masters.

ongratulations to the RITA’s newest Master, Master John Jacob from Ursuline Taekwon-Do School, Waterford. Master Jacob was promoted to 7th Degree Black Belt at a recent grading in Glasgow under Grand Master Ki Ha Rhee.
During the grading he was asked to perform an number of patterns, two on to one sparring and a breaking demonstration in front of Grand Master Rhee.
From everyone in the RITA we would like to say well done on this momentous achievement!
ITF Ireland would like to invite you to the first ITF Ireland Cup Open Championships hosted by Ursuline Taekwon-Do School, Waterford.
The event is open to all Black Belt and Colour Belt Taekwon-Do competitors under ITF Rules and will be held in the Kingfisher Club Regional Sports Centre, Waterford on Saturday 17th April 2010.

Family Rate: Reduce by €5 for every other member of a family.

Congratulations to all those members who graded just before Christmas. All results have been handed out and the students are learning their new material. Special congratulations goes to Shona Brennan, who recieved the Grading Award for her attitude and the improvement she has shown since the last grading.
International Umpire, Examiner and Instructor, Ms Valerie Keane conducted the grading in our dojang and while she had many corrections, she was happy with the overall level of improvement shown by all students.
The inaugural ITF Ireland Cup open championships will now take place on Saturday 17th April and not 20th February as previously stated. The event will take place in Waterford and more information will be available closer to the date.
The ITF National Umpire Course Conducted by the RITA Umpire Committee will take place on Sunday 7th February, 2010 from 10.00am SHARP to 4.30pm in St. Laurence’s Community Centre, Lower Kilmacud Rd., Stillorgan, Dublin.
The course is open to all registered RITA Black Belts 16 years old and above. (only members aged 18 and above will receive umpire certificates). Topics covered include:
